04 / SPEED AT THE HOLE

Same starting line. Different arrival speed.

See a ball approach a cup at different speeds and offsets, inspired by the putting-speed concepts used in SAM PuttLab education. This is not SAM output or a validated capture model.

PUTTING EDUCATION

Capture is affected by where the ball approaches the cup and how fast it arrives. A lucky make is not the same as repeatable pace control.

Illustrative capture categories only: no claim is made that a specific speed always holes a putt or that the animation predicts actual capture. Cup edge, green conditions, slope and ball behavior can change the result. The practice scorecards below remain free and session-only.

PUTTING & WEDGE SESSIONSFREE PRACTICE TRACKER

Choose a skill, complete a small set, and record attempts. Nothing is uploaded to Swing Evaluation or saved after you leave this page.

START DIRECTION

Start-line gate

Place two safe markers a short distance ahead of the ball, slightly wider than a ball. Roll ten putts and count clean passes between the markers, not just putts made.

Target: 10 attempts · 6+ clean starts

0 / 0successful / attempted
PACE CONTROL

Putting distance ladder

Pick three stopping zones on a practice green. Vary the target distance for each ball. Count putts that stop in the intended zone, whether or not they drop.

Target: 9 attempts · 5+ in zone

0 / 0successful / attempted

How to turn a drill into improvement

Define the target, keep the number of attempts manageable, record what happened, then change the challenge only after you understand the pattern. A successful attempt is one that meets the stated task—not necessarily a lucky hole-out.

This scorecard is session-only: reloading the page clears it. Saved sessions, personalized practice plans and progress history belong in the future Golf Locker experience.
